Sheltered sandy beaches suitable for bathing

The municipality of Poio is an obligatory stop on the route that links the city of Pontevedra and the region of O Salnés. Its Atlantic climate, characteristic of the Rías Baixas, benefits from the warming effect of the sea currents, making it ideal for water sports and nautical activities.  Because of the municipality’s position in the interior of the Pontevedra estuary its coastline is sheltered and protected from inclement weather. The area has sandy beaches of different characteristics, all perfect for bathing.
